HOA Board Member Resources

Introduction:

Serving as a member of and HOA Board is a wonderful opportunity to be of service to the community. For most new board members it can leave them wondering at to their new roles and responsibilities as an HOA board member. Each board member brings their own dreams and aspirations to the assignment but often finds resistance from the community or even other board members as they work to achieve those dreams and goals. The purpose of this free training is to give HOA Board Officers and Members a sense of their role and responsibilities and how to be effective and a board and as members of the board.

In this training series we incorporate our own experience managing HOA’s, plus the experience of many who have worked with HOA’s as attorneys, insurance agents, and accountants. In my opinion, one of the best resources for operating a board efficiently is the Carver Policy Governance Model. These books and pamphlets explain Policy Governance as only John Carver can do. It is new, innovative and effective. John Carver provides an excellent base from which an HOAs can build sound policies, exercise fiduciary responsibilities, and effectively manage their organizations.

This training is done on-line, in Webinar format. The Seminars are free to anyone who may desire to participate but pre-registration is required.
